lead poisoning

Lead poisoning is a preventable environmental health hazard.

Any ideas about what we as nurses can do to prevent the tragic consequences of lead poisoning in children?

hello and welcome to allnurses.com

check out this from the cdc about childhood lead poisoning:

http://www.cdc.gov/nceh/lead/

good to have you and we hope you enjoy the site.

education would be a key element in alerting people to lead poisoning...during a health fair event one could do a postewr board with handouts...go into the school system if permited to educate the children during a health awareness day...
