Hey everyone!
I was wondering if you have gotten your admission results back from Lewis-Clark State College? I just got mine back and I was placed on the alternate list but I am still so excited!

Thank you! Just know that I am proud of you too! I remember when you first commented and were waitlisted! You have made it this far and I believe in your ability ? From my understanding, the instructors meet after scenario and talk about everyone and how they thought the students did. That’s how you get a PIP or have to do a redo because they decide as a whole for the most part. I have heard that some people will just get a PIP for running out of time and others who really mess up the safety portion will need to retake a scenario. However, in the past there was a rumor going around when I was a J2 that in a previous semester they had passed someone who failed all the scenarios and retakes in the J2 semester but was succeeding everywhere else. In my class, we had a couple people have to retake a scenario and still pass! Definitely seek out testing accommodations and maybe even anxiety medication as it can help a great deal with testing anxiety.
My biggest suggestion is to go in there with all confidence! I know it’s hard to do but as you progress into your career you will have to fake it until you make it!
Good luck! ?
Thank you so much for your encouragement and positive words! I found out I cannot have testing Accommodations for scenario but my clinical instructor did go over scenario with me in lab so that was really nice and we’re going to practice tonight after clinicals. I feel much more confident that I’ll be writing everything down reading on what I need which I was not doing prior. I will keep you posted and thank you again and congrats again!
My cohort has a ton of kids from all over! There are people from Washington, Oregon, Alaska and Idaho. Now that covid cases have lowered and things are opening back up you are required to be on campus. There are only a few hospitals you can do clinicals at your first few semesters as you do them in groups. The program is supposed to be changing in Fall 2023 unless they postpone. As well as they are trying to admit 60 kids every semester which is almost impossible for them to maintain as they don’t have the staff. The program lacks communication and consistency throughout. Many of the instructors have no idea what they are doing and you are teaching yourself basically everything. Honestly, other than meeting new people and finding people that are experiencing the same struggle as you that is the only good thing. I do enjoy hearing the instructors crazy experiences they have had and it’s interesting to learning how much they had struggled as a new grad too. Personally, I almost dropped every semester because of how much I hated the program. But on a positive note almost everyone that applies gets into the program. Although just note if you haven’t gotten your covid vaccine you will need it to get into the program.

Thank you for responding. I’m a travel nurse from Florida. I’m down to travel wherever accepts me. What kind of changes are they making? I’m going to apply tonight. I see they have a 3 semester track that I’m interested in.

But in general the BSN program is changing completely in the Fall and they are moving classes to different semesters and you take patho in the program. I wish you luck!
Yes I’m an lpn. Thank you Good luck
Hi! I actually graduated last month! But I hated the HESI so much. I almost failed NCLEX prep because they implemented the 850 or higher to pass for our class. I ended up taking the HESI 3 times and barely passed on the third. However, my class fought really hard against HESI determine if you pass or not. I just took the NCLEX and passed in 76 questions. HESI is not a good indicator for passing the NCLEX! I hope your S1 goes well! It is a ton of busy work but so much better than J1 or J2. Biggest tip I have for you for when you do take the NCLEX is use NCLEX crusade international on YouTube! They have 2 different 7 day course and actually teach you how to understand NCLEX questions and how to answer them! Good luck!

First of all, CONGRATULATIONS ? You are in your last semester! I’m sure your family is very proud of you! I am going to see about test accommodations today and hopefully I can get something to help me with my anxiety and I have ADHD so anything will help! I failed 2 scenarios and this is the final one. Thank you so much for taking the time to respond to me. I really appreciate you! Also do you know if they let anyone pass after a redo? Did they not know the material? Did they run out of time? We’re they safe? I am just eating and sleeping scenario for the next week and will keep you posted
