Hey everyone!
I was wondering if you have gotten your admission results back from Lewis-Clark State College? I just got mine back and I was placed on the alternate list but I am still so excited!

Did you get in? I am currently waitlisted for Spring 2022 and I’m not sure if I should research other schools for next fall. I’m scared I won’t get in for fall 2022
Yes, I did get in. Currently sitting in class. They are admitting 55 this coming semester and most people that are waitlisted will probably get in because of the amount of requirements and the vaccine requirement. They are expecting a bunch of people to decline so make sure you are all good on your requirements if you want to come here. Tbh this program is extremely difficult and will test your mental and emotional state. I had almost failed out of the first semester and almost decided not to continue with this program.
That’s good news! I hope I get in! Congratulations to you and don’t give up! Trust me “ it will be worth it”! My mom is a nurse I know the struggle! I am vaccinated and am ready if I get in! I was told 29 people are on the waitlist and I’m not sure of my position but thinking positive
Thank you! And they are definitely preparing for people to either decline acceptance or dropout altogether. I was waitlisted last October but in the middle of November they told me I was admitted. The class that started this fall is down to 39 students and started at 49. The school is trying to prepare for the need for more nurses and people not being able to complete the program. If you do not get in it will be sad but you could always apply elsewhere too. However, I don’t want to talk poorly about the school but it is definitely not what you would expect.
Wow! It’s a struggle I’m sure for so many! Do you reside in LC or do you travel? I assume some students have to travel and that may be an issue! Yes I’m going to stick with LC and hope I get in and if not apply again in the fall. I hope you have a wonderful weekend and thank you so much for your response!
You're welcome! I live in the valley and many students do travel! I wish you the best of luck! I hope you will update if you get into the program. Don't give up if this is your dream. It will be worth it in the end!
Yes I will keep you posted! Thank you for the inspirational words? don’t forget to take time out for yourself
Well I’m currently in my second semester and if I don’t pass scenario testing in 2 weeks then I am kicked out of the nursing program. I don’t know what to do. My nerves are a wreck ???
You got this! Study your heart out and walk in with confidence! Tbh we all felt that way during J2. I personally struggled with scenario due to the ekgs and the cardiac meds. What part are most concerned about with scenario testing? Is it the stress or something else that puts you at risk for failing?
The stress is the worst! I have failed 2 scenarios and if I don’t pass on 11/8 then I am kicked out of the program. I’m getting A/B in my classes. I am doing amazing in my clinical rotation as well. I seriously am a wreck right now! I know the information but I get scattered during the scenario with the instructor watching over me and the dummies doesn’t help cause it’s not real patients ? makes it worse knowing that if I don’t pass this scenario then a year down the drain. Do you know of any online practice for scenarios? I have searched and can’t find anything
Unfortunately, there is no online resources. Although, if you use the scenario binder in the skills lab it is really helpful. As a S2 I am also super stressed but no where near what it was like during scenario. They definitely test your ability to handle stress during the first few semesters. I am sorry you are having to go thru this! If worse comes to worse you should be able to appeal and retake the semester. However, I am unsure as to why you would fail as in previous semesters people have failed both scenarios and still passed due to them doing good elsewhere in the program.
I suggest writing everything down when you are in the report room to help you gather your thoughts when in scenario! I personally failed a scenario is J1 and had to retake it. I also did rather poorly on J2 scenarios and the second one I completely messed up the EKG reading. Do you have a testing accommodation? If not you may look into that and see if you could get one! If you have time also reach out to the instructors to help you too! I know during my J2 they had multiple study sessions for scenario.
I hope this helps and that you will be able to pass!
