I'm a new student at LMH. My orientation is 8/14 and I start 8/21. I'm really excited and ready to start this new chapter in my life, but at the same time I'm also really scared and apprehensive that I'm not going to do well. So what I'm wondering is has anyone or someone you may know gone to LMH and how was the experience?

I also start the program this fall. I am in the night program. I know a few students currently in the program whom speak very highly about it.

I graduated from their evening/weekend program in May 2011. It's difficult but I really enjoyed it. The instructors are all wonderful and really do their best to make sure you succeed. In the first nursing course, they offered review sessions before each exam. Sometimes I was the only one who showed up. If you're struggling or even if you just need a little extra help, try to go to those sessions. Every concept in nursing builds on the things you learn in NU101 so make sure you really understand it. It seems like a lot of info but it will become second nature to you someday.

If you have ****** for clinical make sure your scrubs are pressed and neat and your shoes are very clean. Also make sure you have socks higher than the ankles (mid calf or knee high are good). She is a stickler for looking neat and conveying a professional image. I have to say, I still dress like that as a nurse.

Thank you so much!!! Your response was very insightful!! I plan to take every opportunity I can to stay on track or even ahead of the game so I'll definitely be going to any and all review sessions. :)
