LAVC, LACC vs Glendale

Published

Hello everyone,

I'm a male nursing student and I have applied to LACC, LAVC and Glendale Community College AS Nursing Programs. I was accepted to all of them for the upcoming semester.

I have a hard time deciding between LAVC and LACC and I have to make a decision quickly about where I want to go.

If you have any experience or information other than the passing rates about LACC's vs LAVC's nursing program please let me know.

I have been attending LACC for the past year and a half and I'd like to change the environment and go to LAVC for my RN. I'd appreciate any useful info to make sure that I'm making the right decision by declining LACC and Glendale and opting for LAVC instead.

Thank you

When did you hear back from LACC? I also applied there too, but have yet to hear back.

If LAVC is your first choice, then there's no reason not to attend.

I agree with Elle

Thanks for the replies. I haven't heard from LACC yet but I'm pretty sure that I got accepted. :-) Has anyone heard anything about LAVC's or LACC's program from people who have actually attended?

LACC is 3 miles from where I live whereas LAVC is 9 miles away. The peaceful environment surrounding LAVC is more enticing to me than LACC's concrete but the quality of program and instructors are more important to me

as I want to get my BSN afterwards.

I'm curious to how you know that your accepted into the program since it's Lottery?

I never said I knew that I was accepted to LACC. I'm just planning as if...

Uhmm..you kind of did. "I was accepted to all of them.." Lol but ok

So I got an acceptance letter but it's not my name?! so confused! It's killing me right now =\ so I'm guessing I got denied since acceptance letters are sent before rejections?

Yea it blatantly say's "I have applied to LACC, LAVC and Glendale Community College AS Nursing Programs. I was accepted to all of them for the upcoming semester. "

Well perhaps I did but I was acting as if because I needed to confirm or reject my spot at Glendale and LAVC way before I knew about LACC. Therefore, I wanted to gather more info on each program from

people who might have known more which obviously did not happen here.

I apologize.

Not sure if my belief and acting as if helped but I got accepted to all of them. I found out that I got accepted to LACC yesterday. Apparently, their computer system messed up the addresses and names so they will be sending out new letters soon. I went there yesterday to return someone's rejection letter that I got in my mail and I was congratulated on my acceptance.

Congrats on your acceptance! Are you planning on attending lacc?

Hi all! does LAVC credit pre reqs from more than 5 years ago?
