LAVC Fall-2015 Cohort! Who else applied?

Hi everyone!

I'm starting this thread for students who applied to LAVC for the fall 2015 cohort! Who else is with me during this intense waiting period? What were your stats when you applied (Overall GPA, prerequisite GPA and TEAS score) let's all be motivators for one another to help us get through this agonizing wait to become RNs!!!! Rooting for all of us!

It's my second time applying only because I wasn't actually ready to apply anywhere last spring because I had my baby in January but my best friend (who was accepted there 4.0) convinced me to apply. It was a good idea because they invited me to take the teas which is the indicator that you've passed the first round by meeting the cut score. That was enough for me. I never took the teas on their deadline so I wasn't accepted. Anywho, I have a 3.6. Hope that's helpful.

Yeah I submitted it already but it doesn't seem fair "lottery wise" for the people who haven't even been invited to take the teas yet. People are being accepted before all applications are considered complete. I just called and the lady said they are running the lottery for the first 40 people who applied with complete files. I was told I was number 4 when I registered so I hope I hear something soon. My friend attends their program and says they are so disorganized there,

I talked to one a second semester student about the program and she was very happy about it , she said it's a good program and all the teachers care about students . I hope this would be true
