Hi everyone, I made a thread for those students who are to start the LATTC nursing program Spring 2020! Hopefully this will be helpful! I applied Feb 2018 and I’m waiting for an acceptance letter. I was told I am to start Spring 2020. Hopefully I get an acceptance letter this Aug.

HI THERE, HOPE EVERYONE IS WELL...... DOES ANYBODY KNOW HOW OR WHST WAYS IS THE NuRsing Program at LATTC is being affected due to the pandemiA????

We are doing online classes. They’re still admitting the class for fall from what we’ve heard .

Whaaa I’ve tried emailing. I guess I’ll just wait for a response. I’ll try and call later next week. Anyone know when fall 2020 starts for the new nursing cohort?

As far as I know the office is closed . They’ll reach out to you if you’re set to start fall . I think they should’ve already.

I'm sure I won't start fall but I'm looking to see if I'm really in for Spring 2021. I mean this will be exactly two year wait for me and others. The waiting sucks and them not answering also sucks.

Thank you ladies for all the important info shared. I'm always following the thread for lattc nursing, this is like our own little information session. Can someone please create a fall 2020 thread, so we know how far they've gone with their acceptance.

Hi Guys, I need help please. did you know how to reach the counselor of the nursing apartment in LAPC no one replied to my email and there is one counselor who doesn't have enough information!  Did you know when the next application, please ? I sent my transcript in 2022 but I took my TEAS for the second attempt and they asked me to submit remediation but I am not sure what steps and how to apply, anyone can help please? Did I need to submit my transcript again? Did I need to email the remediation or send it in another way? what about the TEAS test how can I send it to them ? TIA

It might be best if you go into the nursing office. If you cannot go then you need to sign up for an information session that will be your best bet so you can ask all your questions they accept applications all the time but you need to attend the workshop first so you can ask all your questions and they will let you know how to go about your transcripts

I agree with Eunice, go in person to the nursing office or go online to their website and see when their next info session or workshop will be held. There are usually more people there to answer questions. It's Winter as well so they might be on break but tbh, LAPC nursing office is terrible with communication. No one is available to help or if available, they give you attitude or like you said, they don't have enough info. 
 

As for the remediation, you'll have to wait 90 days after your first TEAS attempt and it should be done with an organization they'll accept or at a CC before they'll approve it. I had the same issue when I applied with them and I retook my TEAS as well, in fact my 2nd attempt was with them but because I didn't do the remediation, they didn't accept me. I couldn't wait for 3 month after my first attempt so I retook it in 1 month and got score I needed to apply. That did limit my chances to apply to most CCs cos they wanted me to do the remediation. 
 

Check their website for application info as things might have changed, I knew they started in May/June for fall and applications are valid for 2 semesters after that you have to reapply if you don't get accepted. TEAS score needs to be sent through the ATI website, you go to ATI and choose LAPC they send it directly to them. They don't accept emailing the TEAS for validation reasons. Also, remediation like I said varies with the school, you'll have to provide more info on when are where you took it and how long you waited. That probably might be included in your application. 
 

And yes, if you retook the TEAS you need to send your 2nd attempt transcript again and some schools ask for all attempts. BUT I'LL ADVISED YOU SIGN UP FOR THE INFO SESSION FIRST to get more info and clarity and also if they'll accept your remediation before spending money on sending TEAS TRANSCRIPT.
