does anyone here bring there laptop for lecture and type notes? my lecture class is about 200 people, lab is about 20. but my professor moves very fast and a lot us can't write as quickly as she goes. she lectures the whole class for and hour and half - constant note taking - not even enough time to take a sip or water or blow your nose. so i'm going to take my laptop for notes tues and i think a voice recorder too. what do you type your notes into? word or one note? any suggestions? i'm a little scared to do this, i don't know why, but it's new to me...any advice would be greatly appreciated!
so you can actually record with onenote and not need a recorder? then what do you do...listen to it on the laptop and correct your notes?
my professor must be allowing laptops because others are bringing them in to type lecture notes. i did think of purchasing the tablet also but i plain and simple just can't write everything she speaks and has on overhead. and by the end of class my hand is actually tingling. my psy101 professor lectured the whole class too but not like this, this lady's set on super fast and we actually have to tell her to go back because we're not done. i cannot imagine how hard it is for someone who english is a second language...they would have to record and retype or they would get nothing that she says.

it just creates it as an mp3 file...if i'm going over my notes, i just listen to it on my laptop, but i also often copy lectures to my ipod and listen while walking or when i'm at the gym.

i don't write everything that's said, just the big points. i fill in my notes after class while listening to the recording. i like the tablet for math and science classes because i tend to draw diagrams and use lots of symbols....that's just a pain on a keyboard. for psych and english type classes, i go ahead and type my notes.
sorry, i had to change the pink, i wanted to quote you...but reading the pink hurts my eyes:crying2:

It is a part of Microsoft Office Home & Student Edition 2007. You can also purchase it separately. I bought mine with the Home & Student because I also needed the microsoft word.
