Hello! I am wondering how much studying did anyone put in their TEAS 5? I currently have two books and I just ordered a new set of flashcards. Can anyone tell me how competitive is the LPN program at Forsyth to get into? I am beyond stressing because I want this SO, SO bad. I currently have A's and B's in all my prerequisites and I feel like its not enough. Thank you so much!
Hello all. how are things going? I plan to apply to the LPN program at Lanier for fall 2018. Can you tell me what semesters they recommend you do the courses please? I'm trying to put together a timeline of what classes to take and when. What times do you usually have clinicals? You can't choose your day or time right? Thanks in advance.
Have you taken the prerequisites? You can take those whenever as long as they are completed before the required time to apply.
Once you're in the program you can't pick and chose when you take the courses. Those are predetermined, you'll be given the courses and the course schedule at orientation to enroll with via banner web.
Clinicals are the same way. They are predetermined as well.
For example: I started the PN program classes on August 21st. I have classes Mon-Wed. Monday and Tuesday I have 2 classes each. I am there from 8-4/4:30. On Wednesday I have 1 class and I am there from 8-4. So far I have 1 clinical and it's on Thursdays from 6:30-3.
I do have some clinicals on Wed and a few on Fridays but those don't start for me until Nov.
You should be able to take those next semester. I took diet and nutrition online and it wasn't bad at all. The work was doable and the content wasn't overwhelming.
I wouldn't recommended taking Anatomy online though since it is very thorough and complex.
Good luck with getting into the program! Have you taken the TEAS? If not, I'd recommended studying for it asap and for as long as possible. That way you can increase your chances of scoring well the first time.
Hey,
This is my first time making a post on here. I would love to hear your opinion. I am attempting to apply to the LPN program that begins in FALL of 2018. I have completed all of my prerequisites except, nutrition. I have a 3.0 and my TEAS score is a 76. Do you guys think I have a chance? I was thinking about retaking it to see if I can get a higher score.
Thank you
I agree! I definitely would love to increase my chances. I actually spoke with someone from nursing and she stated that my TEAS score was competitive, but I understand that there will be some individuals who will be applying with a higher GPA and/or TEAS. And with only 16 seats, you have to be competitive as possible.
By the way, that is an awesome GPA! I am pretty sure you will get in. The TEAS really isn't a bad exam. I can tell you this, in my opinion, it is a lot easier than the NLN!
I am definitely excited and nervous about applying. I would actually love to apply to the Summer program but I don't have the required ALHS 1060, and they don't offer it until the Summer. Do you personally know anyone who has completed this LPN program?

I haven't gotten an email yet. I'm still patiently (and obsessively) checking my email hoping it comes soon.
