Langara Nursing Spring 2023

Updated:   Published

I am planning to apply to Langara's Nursing program with a GPA of 3. I know that's too low and I'm sooooooo hopeless that I can be accepted. I already retook all of the courses and I still got the same grades. Is there anyway that I can get accepted or should I just go to LPN first. All you guys' GPA are all above 3.5 so I am demotivated and I don't even know if I can do nursing :`( .

I don't have fb but I'd join if someone puts a group together!

Has anyone gotten started on their supplemental requirements like First Aid and criminal record check ?

yep! mine r all done

I've done criminal rec and TB skin test but heard its not a bad idea to wait and do CPR closer to the start date because you need to re-certify every year

At Langara, are applicants allowed to have taken all their pre-requisites at a different institution, or do applicants need to have at least 40% of courses taken at Langara? I think it's interesting as most programs at institutions do not have a rule on transferring credits.

No, you can do all your pre-req courses at a different school as long as the courses are transferable!! I think the 40% thing only applies if you’re in a current program ?
