Langara January 2020 intake

Hello, does anyone here trying to apply to the January 2020 intake? What’s your GPA and are you taking any courses at the moment?

AFAIK, doesn't matter when you apply so long as you get your application in by the deadline.
First seats go to all the degree holders. Then the rest of the seats are assigned by GPA.

hi, I'm currently a student at UBC and I won't have my BIOL 153 marks until the end of april. Does this mean that I can't apply for the Sept 2020 intake?

Deadline for the sept 2020 intake is Jan 31 while the Jan 2021 intake is May 31st 2020. If you apply now, it won't count for the Sept 2020 intake since you won't have the marks for your BIOL

Some people take that time in between April to December to get their PHIL 1105 class done (which is a term six course you can take before entering the program) !! It'll lessen your workload for the future, but make sure that if you're not taking that class at Langara that it's transferable at where you're taking it.

hey, those of you who have prior degrees are, I think, pretty much guaranteed a spot. Last I heard they were still giving priority admission to anyone with a degree. After all the degree holder, the rest of the spots are allocated based on GPA (for the 5 pre-req's only)

If you have any questions about the program, ask! I'm currently in the program ?

Hi there,

Does it matter which 2nd ENGL you take?

I have the ENGL 1127 and ENGL 1181. Admissions recommened me to take 1129 or 1130 too, but I'm scared to take another english as it is my weakest subject. I'm afraid taking it will negatively affect my current GPA. The reason why I took 1181 instead was because I couldn't get into 1129 or 1130 (I was always waitlisted..?)
