Lancaster General - Anyone start there as new grad?

U.S.A. Pennsylvania

Published

I know there are several threads about Lancaster General, buy many are old and all have few responses. So I am starting a new thread to see if any one can help me.

Has anyone here started there as a new grad?

I interviewed there this past week and am hoping to continue in the hiring process.

So after your initial interview what happened?

The sign-on bonus / stipend - how long after you were hired did you get that?

How was your new grad orientation? Do you think it was sufficient and that they offered a supportive environment for new grads?

Thanks

I think it went okay. LOL. I was interviewed by the nurse recruiter and two nurse managers. The one nurse manager I interviewed with didn't go too great(well, I think it didnt go well), I was just really nervous. However, I think I redeemed myself because I could tell the other nurse manager liked me. I hope hiring is not based on both the nurse manager's judgment but one! They both said I could set up a time to do a nurse shadow. It appeared to me they wanted me to take the initiative to make an appointment for that. So you should call them! I think they really need nurses on the second unit I interviewed for! I'll keep you updated. It really seems like a great hospital to work for!
