Ladderized Nursing Program

My sisters are entering college and we've been arguing on whether they should take a 'Ladderized' Nursing Program or not. I'm not really familiar with this new thing and the only thing I know is that it takes five years (?) to finish it and they give you some sort of certificates at the end of each step you take. Can anyone help me figure out which is better, BSN through AHSE or the Ladderized way?

i think it's better the ladderized way, like i have graduated with AHSE then nursing...

First of all, it depends on the school. Correct me if I'm wrong, in UST, they dont have AHSE. Same with other school who have higher accreditation. If she chosed school without AHSE, she should passed the requirements. But if she still wants to go through the AHSE program, them chose another school. The advantage of this AHSE program is to prepare you. If you dont wish to continue to BSN, you still have an edge when it comes to clinical set-up.

I haven't heard that nursing will be 5 years now! I think it was just a proposal. Last year we thought that it will be applicable on the incoming freshies... I dont know if it was already approved. Because if it so, it should have been mentioned on the TV, radio and newpaper.

When it was me I went through AHSE for 4 semesters, then BSN for 6 semesters...total of four years. That's why I'm kind of confused...

So if I go abroad to work as a caregiver, can it be possible that they will accredit my certification in AHSE?

i think its better if you take the AHSE program. prerequesites are relevant geared towards nursing proper. im actually re validating a study with regards to that AHSE program though what we have now is the newly implemented CMO 14

What is AHSE?
