Hello,
I applied lacc nursing for Spring 2018 and I made a thread to share any information. Anyone heard anything from them ? I've already submitted all required documentation and waiting to hear about the lotto results.
Hey there, no worries, I am happy to help! Just make sure to pass on the tips to your future classmates. There are pros and cons about the program. So far, my classroom teachers and clinical professor have been very caring, educational and supportive. Our class is cohesive and support and help one another. The cons is that the program schedule is a little disorganized and it can feel a bit overwhelming at times. Nothing to discourage anyone to avoid this school, you'll just learn to be flexible. So far, overall, I feel like the positive outweighed the negatives. Let me know if I can be of help with anything else. :)
Thank you for the feedback it is very helpful. I appreciate you taking the time to answer all of my questions. If anything else comes to mind I will kindly ask.
Best of luck on this journey and Happy Holidays!
Of course! It's my pleasure. Thanks, I'll need all the luck I can get! :) Happy Holidays to you as well!
Hello,
I am back with more questions lol.
Unfortunately, my titers came back today and it's showing that I am not immune to varicella. I know that you experienced a similar situation so I thought I'd ask you for help regarding the steps. At this point I know that I have to get the shot, but is that enough or do I have to also redo the titer?
Hey there! I would go get the shot first and ask to see if there is a following series of shots or just one shot. If there is only one, I would show proof that I just received it, they should honor that. I think Varicella is ok with just the shot. I wasn't immune to Hep B, which is a big requirement when you're working in health care so I received the vaccine and then I repeated the titer. If you would like to be 100% sure, call the nursing department after the holiday and ask to see if the vaccine is enough. Let me know if i could be of any more help! :) Happy Holidays!

I received the vaccine on 12/26, now I have to wait 4 weeks for the 2nd shot. Hopefully everything goes well and this does not affect/hold me back.
Thank you for replying and answering all my questions :)
