I have seen a few more posting for L&D jobs and am going to start applying. I have over 12+ years of experience working for the same hospital that did about 6000 delveries/yr. I am interested in your opinion of local L&D units (phoenix, chandler, tempe, mesa) I have seen postings for the Banner Ironwood. I would appreciate any thoughts.

Banner Ironwood is a brand new hospital. Banner employees are given first
shot at jobs there. You can apply, but I wouldn't be very hopeful.
I will apply and hope for the best.
Hoozdo..
I just saw your other post about how many applicants are applying for the posted jobs. That certainly gives more insight. No wonder the jobs seemed to be filling quickly. Thanks for taking the time to post a response.

This is my update. I placed my resume at the above mentioned hosptial on MonDAY morning. I talked to the recruiter Tues at lunch. I interviewed on Thursday....... I got a call today.
I am now apart of this new hospital. I'm feeling a little blessed for it going so fassed especiallly in this market.
i know how hard it has been for everyone whos has tried to stay employed in this market. fear not! there is hope! i can't believe it will be 18 short more days of the sahm. then in november when it opens adn i have found another workplace to call home. it will be a learning experience for sure. it will be more interesting going back to a new set of night girls... you know what they say about night girls.. fun! fun~ work hard team playin.... goodnight!~
What is really nice is the fact it is a brand new hospital and nobody will know anyone.
Everyone will be new, including you! Excellent opportunity for team work and learning
together. I think you will like it. Banner is not a bad place to work.

This is the new Banner hospital set to open in Queen Creek, right?
Congrats to you!
Yes, it is.
I remember when Queen Creek was a tiny little town out in the boonies. It's grown so much, so this new hospital will be of great use. I can see this hospital expanding into something huge in the future.
Also, the southeast valley is a great place to live. Again, congrats!!
