I know this is little early but I will be applying in July for Spring 2015... I'm finishing up Micro this semester and will have 86 points! Anyone else lurking that's going to apply to?? Say hi :)
oh and they give you the post-cards to mail back at pre-registration to accept or decline your seat. so for some that haven't received anything. Don't give up. There's still a chance you get it, if people defer or decline their seats.
Thank you!! That clears up a lot! I thought they came with the letter
Hello,
I'm new to this thread, I received the acceptance e-mail on Thursday November 12, 2014. I'm very grateful that 3/4 schools accepted me; however, I'm only considering LA County and Pasadena City College. I need help to make a decision which school to go to as soon as possible so I can finish all the requirement in time. I understand that LA County offers the best Clinical practice and also a very reputable Nursing school in general. However, Pasadena City college offers Full scholarship which I am eligible, this means I would not have to pay for the tuition fee at all. I also attended the orientation of PCC and I have to say that the program seems REALLY good and cares a lot of their students. The pre registration for LA county is on November 21st. So hopefully after the pre registration at LA county, I will be able to compare and clearly decide from there. any advice for me?
Thank you,
Bryan Go

Hi Brian,
Did you know County has financial aid and accepts the cal grant. Also, they have a tuition deferrment program. Basically, they defer a portion of tuition each semester and as long as you agree to work for them for 3 years, your tuition that was deferred is paid off? Something to consider. Both are great schools. I guess you can base your decisions off other things like how far away do you live from both schools? Your not really going to be able to decide alot after pre-registration, they don't cover much besides tuition, class schedule, important dates to remember, financial aid and a tour of the campus. Both are great programs and I hope you can make the best choice for you! Good Luck.
Hi Jserrano2113,
Thank you for your response! I am well aware about the Financial Aid that is available in LAC. As of right now I'm really having a hard time making a decision. Both schools are really great. However, According from the reviews online (rate my professors, google review, all nurses , yelp ) LAC seems like a tough school to be in. How's your personal opinion about La County? as far as I know you attended the pre registration/orientation before. why LAC is your choice? What do you think is the greatest advantage of LAC that it offsets the Financial advantage of PCC? I know this is a lot to ask. but I'm really desperate for help. Thank You
