LA county SON Spring 2015

Published

I know this is little early but I will be applying in July for Spring 2015... I'm finishing up Micro this semester and will have 86 points! Anyone else lurking that's going to apply to?? Say hi :)

Lol you can ask if they send the rejection letters along with the acceptance letters and if not, by when would we be expecting each.

It did sound good... But hey, we can always call again. It's not like they're gonna reject ur app just becuz you called lol

Hey, have you started on your vaccinations yet? Or are you waiting until you get accepted? I'm going on Monday to see where I am at with the Hep B (I'm getting the titer). I had the shots when I was little and started the series a few times but I'm not sure if I need to restart again.

I think I read in one of the past threads that you have to be on the 2nd one by the time school starts and those suckers are like $140 each (I don't have insurance so I have to pay out of pocket).

I just called and asked and the lady who answered the phone did not know so she asked me to leave my name and phone number so a person who does know can call me back. I said it was okay and that I would call back later lol

I'm waiting until I get the acceptance letter. If I get a rejection letter I'm not gonna do it. And that sucks!!! :(

Hmm... maybe that's a good sign! How can someone work there really not know. Maybe they're getting ready to send them out and she didn't want to give out that info just yet and had to make sure that it was okay.

Thanks for callling!

I'm applying to three schools. One of the three already gave us an immunization paper so that we can start working on them already. I figured they're going to be the same for each. The only one, however, that I'm not going to do until I find out for sure is the Polio, because I'm not 100% sure that LA County or the other school wants that and it's the most expensive one. The Hep B, varicella, TDAP, etc., those are all so general I am safely assuming all schools ask for those (based on what I've read).

She did mention that she would give my info to the director (the person who knows). I think she said director. I couldn't really understand her much she was speaking softly and had a small accent.

Isn't the director ------------------? (The lady from the info sessions). She's really nice !!! Atleast you didn't talk to the mean one lol. I'm pretty sure she would have told you to call back in November.

I chose not to leave my info though.
