I am new to this forum and very excited. Just want to know where everyone's from and what they do.
Peace and love. :lol2:

Time for an update! =)
Last time I posted in this thread was close to five years ago. I worked at
Ephraim McDowell then. Since then, I have worked exclusively in the Psych
and LTC areas. I've worked at:
The Ridge BHS, Lexington, March 2009-October 2010
Heritage Hall Health and Rehab, Lawrenceburg, Oct. 2010 to Aug. 2011
Eastern State Hospital (for NR), Aug 2011 to Present (when I can!)
Fountain Circle, Winchester, May 2012 to Present
I've had far too many different jobs in only 9 years as an RN.
Still living in Lawrenceburg. Almost 12 years now!
I'm still in Radcliff, still searching for a job. Applying here and there, casting a pretty wide net even though I have no idea where some of the towns are exactly in KY LOL. I'm looking at smaller, rural hospitals as well as the larger one. I'm even researching jobs with the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
I am almost done with my BSN (woot!) The reason I'm excited about this is because it has taken me 20 years to do :-)
I'm from south central KY, in my 3rd semester at Bowling Green Technical College, a KCTCS school. I've just applied to two ADN Programs, deadline is Sept. 15. So now I play the waiting game! *crosses fingers* I applied to the BGTC program, as well as Hopkinsville Community College. I'm hoping for Bowling Green because I really do not want to have to drive 90 mins one way every day for school, but I will if I have to! lol. I've got my CNA as well, I believe I am going to try to find a CNA job at a local hospital soon. Just pretty nervous about leaving an office job that I've had for 11 years for something new, especially while I'm still in school. Good Luck to All! :)

Hey there... I think you should also consider ECTC in Elizabethtown, KY. Im from Glasgow but attend in Etown which is about an hr drive for me but well worth it. Its an awesome school with topnotch instructors and clinical sites....

Hello.
I also will be moving back to my home state of Florida in a little over a year. Im in nursing school here at MSU, at the Mt Sterling branch.
Im not sure if I will be going to Brandon/Tampa area or Naple/Ft Myers area.
What does it take to become licensed in Florida? What part of Fl are you in. (I'm jealous, espicially during the winter. LOL)
