Kuwait MOH

Hi,

I am new to this site and I found it very informative. This would be my first post. I would just like to know if anybody on this board wrote the Kuwait MOH exam last March 18 in PICC? I believe there were 3 agencies who facilitated the exam and interview. In my case I passed the exam and was interviewed by the Kuwait MOH delegates last March 24 at Diamond Hotel- Manila. The agency called me up informing me that I passed the interview and wait for further instructions for the next step. I would just like to hear how many of us are awaiting for possible deployment to Kuwait and any update as to your case will be greatly appreciated. Many Thanks.

This thread is so helpful for nurses bound to Kuwait. I commend DINX and PIORF for sharing their experience and knowledge about the application. Thank you so much guys. :)

I'm a newbie. I passed the MOH exam and interview held in Pan Pacific Hotel. I have a lot of application and I'm taking this "MOH Kuwait", into consideration. I'm done with my medical exam last Dec.20, 2012. Ms. xxxxx of Safe Future informed me this week that "Im Fit to Work" and i'll wait for further advice.

Just like most of us, I'm also apprehensive to accept the offer since the proposed salary is quit low. Thank you to Dinx for a very comprehensive explanation of everything. But I'm still confused of some things:

FIRST: I read the previous thread, I discovered residence visa first, then working visa will be processed by us in Kuwait. How long will it take for us to have a working visa?

SECOND: Do we need to undergo another medical exam in Kuwait?

THIRD: If the yearly annual leave is true :) .... (because the agency here in Phil, told us 2 years contract, no yearly vacation) .. can we have a vacation after 6months just like MOH in Saudi.? Is it a paid vacation?? Is the roundtrip airfare free??

LASTLY: If the proposed salary is true, (250KD) In your perspective, can we cope with the cost of living in Kuwait? can we save from this salary?

P.S. To DINX, PIORF and OTHER NURSES already employed in Kuwait, Thank you in advance for the answers.. :)

To my fellow, Nurses in the Philippines, God Bless to us and let's hope for the best..

Mabuhay Filipino Nurses...

...but we all knw that fil.nurses are the no.1 in providng good quality nursing care to pts .globally comptnt among othr nurses frm diff.country esp.in asia n mdlest .,but its a good new hospital in kuwait i think..

I wish you would stop perpetuating this myth. No nation has the number 1 nurse. Every nurse is human and care varies widely from individual to individual

same here,,i also resigned.. cannot wait to getting back at work again..

that's good news for you. i still did not have my medical exam. maybe next week. can you be kind to inform us of what the agency will inform you since you already passed your medical exam? thanks!

hi... i also passed the exam and interview for moh kuwait by safe future agency. im still here in my province but im processing my documents,

hello fellow RN. good to know that you're FIT. :poto:

May i know the name and location of the clinic where you've undergone your medical exam? How much did you pay?

What are the tests and physical exams that you've underwent?

Mabuhay Filipino Nurses...

There's no problem regarding your visa it will be processed as working visa directly. In our case, we spent almost 2 months processing our papers for formalities here including MOH finance papers, police verifications, iqama, nurse license, medicals, Civil ID...etc...The good thing is your salary computation starts as soon as you arrive here even though you're not working yet or on hospital duty.

Yes, you will still undergo another medical exam once you're here, but free of charge.

Vacation leave here is annually after you had been on duty for 1 year. Just like in my case, I came here November of 2011 (that time annual leave schedule among staffs for 2012 was full already so I had no slot anymore) so they granted my leave come March of 2013. Come 2014, I can request for another leave in any month I want to. They will grant number of days leave from 33 days to 47 days for newly hired nurses. You can also request to have a vacation leave twice in a year but the total wont exceed by the allowed number of vacation leave. Airfare is not free (mine is 190KD round trip), but it is a paid vacation leave. As what I've said, if you're indeed bound for Ministry of Health Hospitals, they will waive any signed contracts there in the Philippines because you will become a regular employee by the Government of Kuwait and by that you can work here for as long as you want or you can resign anytime you want to.

If unfortunately your salary is only 250KD/month (with free accommodation, food and transpo) I think you can still save some as long as you will be conscious enough not to spend more than what you earn. But if you're used to an expensive lifestyle, then for sure it is not enough. In short, it all depends on you. For a quite concrete way of saying this, I can survive here with only 60KD in my wallet. The breakdown would be: 30KD for food and toiletries (I am a male nurse). 12KD for my internet, 5KD for cel phone load (prepaid, here you can use land line phone even if you are calling a cel phone number), 3KD for Cable fee (sharing with your flatmates), 10KD extra for bus/taxi fare. If you will buy gadgets (laptops, iPhone,Ipad,Galaxy Tab/Notes..etc) or will eat in KFC, Jollibee, McDOnalds, or take coffee in expensive shops, it will be another list of budget of course.

Hope this Helps...God Bless us Pinoy Nurses!

thanks for the added infos sir Dinx..!

New updates??? Any1!!

thank you Dinx for the above mentioned info.

by the way, what do you mean by police verification?

about the medical exam in kuwait, can you give us information on what tests/procedures you undergone through? was there an physical (naked) exam, MRI, CT, or KUB?

:poto:

Update: Received an sms from the agency which says URGENT, asking me to report to their office for medical schedule this week. An acquaintance of mine who's also passed the MOH exam and interview also received the sms. did you guys received it too?
