KPU Psychiatric Nursing

Published

Hey anyone who's reading and has words of advice! I'm going to be applying to KPU's psych nursing program for May 2018 and I think this is the first year it's going to be a competitive intake? I'm just losing my mind over it all and hearing rumours and whatnot. I have a 3.6 GPA, but I'm still so worried about what goes into considering prospective students. I've been told GPA is the only thing they look at and I'm not sure mine is high enough to get in. If anyone has more insight, I'd like to know please!

Hey, I think a GPA of 3.6 for kwantlen's psych nursing is pretty good. It is honestly hard to tell if 3.6 will get you into the program or not for sure, since this is the first competitive psych intake and it is hard to predict the average gpa and number of students. However, gpa for psych nursing is much lower anyways since less students apply. I recommend that you redo a class and bump up your gpa a little higher before applying for a better chance. Hopefully you get in, goodluck!

Thanks for the reply! I figured I'd better get it a little higher but that means more A's and A+'s hahah.

Hey I'm so sure you'll get it also because KPU sent out emails to everyone doing HF that there's still lots of spots available that they are willing to accept applications from people who just finished the spring semester so they can start the summer semester, rather than waiting a semester in between.
