Hi there everyone,
I have been reading posts on this site for ~ past 3-4 years. I am finally getting around to actually posting myself. My first question is, what do you think about the clinical nurse leader programs and do you think it will go any where in nursing? Thanks to all who may care to reply!!

We have a Clinical Nurse Leader on our unit, who just graduated. She's helping to bring an alcohol withdrawal protocol to our unit, as well as in involved in "customer service", and trauma services. She's the first and only CNL right now in our facility, sort of the guinea pig.
Unless they can prove themselve economically valuable to a unit, I don't see hospitals making a huge committment to them.
thanks for the info tweety. I just don't know what I want to be when I grow up lol.
