I'm getting my left knee replaced in three weeks. The surgeon's office says bring slip on shoes to the hospital to wear for PT. The only slip on shoes I have are my Dansko professionals. Will those work, or is the "rocker action" a bad thing? Should I be shoe shopping? (As if I needed an excuse!) My surgeon's nurse told me not to bring slip on shoes. She said I need something I can adjust (like sneakers) in case I have any swelling in my feet.I'm having my right knee done so between us we'll have 2 good legs!Hope your surgery goes well.

Yesterday, PT had me go up a flight of stairs & back down twice. In less than an hour my husband will be here to take me home!! I've had very little pain & walking is much easier than I thought it would be. The strangest thing is that my knee doesn't go snap, crackle, pop when I walk now! That will take some getting used to.

I think danskos will be too much at first for balance and height.Sending prayers and positive thoughts to you both!
