I had a rolling bag. I injured my shoulder in a car accident several years back and my shoulder could not handle all that weight from the heavy books. I also loved that I could fit everything..books, laptop, lunch..in the rolling bag. Many of my classmates used regular backpacks and that seemed to work out ok for them.
Rolling backpack...several of my classmates even have small carry ons. I also have a big leather bag that carries larger books as well. We also have lockers which worked for a while on books or skills supplies but then we started needing the books in the lockers so everything would come home and back to school with me everyday. But get a rolling backpack..save your back.
I feel your pain, I am a purse woman myself (the bigs ones), I went and got a book bag due to my books coming in a huge box but between clinical and class I didn't need everything all at once so I got a tote purse that looked very professional that I can take to clinical and also fit my fundamentals book in and used that for the rest of the semester. Not sure how medsurg is going to go but I really like my bag hope this helps. But the down side was that I was always taking stuff in and out my bag to accommodate my day which was a pain but most of the time worth it.

Coming up on time to start class. And I was wondering what kind of bag should I buy? I love purses but I know my stuff probably wont fit in a purse. So what are you ladies using?
