Kennesaw State University Spring 2022

Published

Just trying to find other KSU students/transfer students that applied to the Spring 2022 nursing program.

I will be applying for Spring  2022.  I take TEAS this week. Have you applied yet?

Yes I did apply. I took the TEAS on 4 June,  I scored a 85.3%. My GPA is a 4.0, but I haven't finished chem lab 1151, chem lecture and lab 1152. I'm enrolled in chem lab 1151 and chem lecture 1152 right now (Summer semester) so I'll have those completed by the end of July and they don't announce until September who is accepted/denied so hopefully I'll maintain my 4.0 and will only be missing chem lab 1152.

That’s great! I only have Micro and lab left to take. All other prerequisites are done. I have a 3.7 GPA. Hoping to do well on TEAS. I only want to take it once. What did you think of it? How did you study? How long did you study?

I spent the $249 comprehensive study package through ATI TEAS website. The practice tests definitely helped me prepare because they are set up exactly the same way! Also you use that same log in information to take the TEAS test. I studied a little bit each day for about 2 months and then the week before I spent 5-6 hours a day studying. Science/A&P is very detailed and I spent 75% of my time studying that. I also watched some Youtube videos over each of the bodily systems that helped me refresh the fine details. I'll attached my first practice test results and final TEAS results to give you an idea of where I started/where I ended.

Thank you so much!!

You're welcome! Good luck to you!

Hey y'all, I applied to the Accelerated program a month ago and only have one pre-req left which I'm taking next month. I'm wondering if anyone could give me any idea on my chances of getting in, also would it increase my chances to apply to the traditional program too? My GPA isn't great at a 3.3 and I have two C's in A&P 1 and Chem 2. The rest are mostly A's and a few B's. I did get a 92 on the TEAS and scored in the 99th percentile in math and science. I'm really hoping I can get in this round and appreciate anyone who can give me some advice!

Jacob,

I would apply to both if you are able to. I don't have a bachelor's degree (only a certificate from Pima Medical Institute for Medical Assistant), otherwise I would have applied to both.

That's an AWESOME TEAS score! If you search on here there are a couple prior semester where people were sharing what their TEAS score, GPA, and whether they got accepted or not and into the traditional or the accelerated.

Good luck to you! September feels like it is so far away! I want to know now! LOL

I did take TEAS test and didn’t score as well as I wanted to. Don’t think my score will be competitive enough. I will retake it in August after I spend the recommended time studying! That means I won’t make deadline for Spring admission. May have to wait until fall of 2022 to apply. Very upset but won’t give up!

MariRN2B,

I'm sorry to hear that. If you scored at least a 78% you should still apply. You never know what the others TEAS scores of GPA's will be. Every semester is different.

Best of luck to you!

@Keri DiSanto I ended up calling the school and they said you don't really increase your chances if you apply to both, so I'll just stick with my original application. Yea, I've been looking through some of them and it's just hard to tell. September is too far away, the waiting is the worst part!

@ManiRN2B Don't give up! Your GPA is really good, so if you're above the minimum you might still have a chance. I definitely recommend the ATI stuff and try to search for TEAS practice quizzes. I took all the ones I could find, along with reviewing quizlet flashcards.
