Is anyone planning on applying to KSU for Fall 2015?
Thank you - It works out better financially. I still need 5 more classes for the general (gov, econ, history etc.) So I was already on the fence if I wanted to take 3 classes this summer and 3 the first summer of nursing (I need chem 2 this summer.) If I stay where I am, I have 100% grants paying for it, and get money back. If I switch to KSU, that all ends...so I am trying to look at the bright side :) I am just praying I can get in for Spring!!!
My degree works has always listed all those nursing classes needed - because that's what would have to be fulfilled for graduation from your major. I don't think degree works cares if you're accepted into a program, just what your major is and what courses you've taken.
What I noticed the other day though, and again - I don't know if it means anything so I hesitate to mention it, is in Owl Express my registration status for Fall (where you check your time ticket) includes permits and overrides that allow me to register for specific nursing classes (pathophys, holistic nursing, health assessment) even if they are full or closed or have pre or co-requisites. Again, I would wait for letter proof - I am - because I don't know if what I'm seeing in Owl Express means anything.

No. All of my transfers JUST showed up in degree works, so I was looking through them dumbfounded! I called the registers office yesterday to find out what was going on. They told me grades didn't matter, because your GPA started over once you started school there, but would have an auditor call me back because I wondered if my American Lit could count towards World lit requirement.
When she called back today, I asked her about having a D in statistics, and C in Algebra, and she found 4 other classes duplicated - these were also entered TWICE bringing my GPA down. I made a B in statistic and an A in algebra, which she could also see.
Anyway, after correcting everything she said to call the nursing department. I called and sure enough they had the incorrect grades they used. She was very nice and said she would recalculate. I asked if that meant I was receiving a rejection letter and she said yes, but disregard for now and she will recalculate and let me know.
She emailed and let me know that after recalculating, it didn't change my admission status. I am not positive about my GPA- I don't know what they figure into it? I do know that because I have a B in statistics, it brings my 5/7 down, and having B's also brings down the 7/12 and 12 pre reqs. After this semester I will have 2 more As to add to my 12, including in Chemistry so that will really help my 5/7 and 7/12 categories! Hopefully I will be accepted for Spring :)
