Kennesaw State Nursing Fall 2018

I am applying for Kennesaw Nursing for the Fall 2018, and saw that there has not been a thread started! I would like to know if anyone has applied to the Fall 2018 Nursing Program @ Kennesaw State University yet? If so, would you mind sharing your GPA and Teas Scores? This is so that I can get an knowledge of what I should be on average of. Also, I take my TEAS tomorrow and prayers would be greatly appreciated!!

Thinking in advance here, does anyone know when the mandatory orientation was for the Fall cohort last year? I'm trying to make summer plans and I need everything laid out.

I just got my email! Got standby acceptance for Traditional! Does anyone know if that means I simply finish my pre reqs and get in? Or does there also have to be a spot that opens up?

I am standby also. I emailed the nursing department and standby status is more of a waitlist. If you fulfill all requirements AND they happen to have a spot open up, you would then be accepted.

Unfortunately, I just got my denial letterâ˜¹í ½í¸”..thank God I have a plan B... good luck to everyone still waiting...

I got in for the traditional track!! See you guys next fall ☺️

I was ready to be denied, so I'm super surprised & excited! I almost paid $200 to hold my spots for the other schools I got accepted to lol

Stats for future people reading:

Overall GPA: 3.5 (this is why I didn't think I'd get in)

Sci/Math GPA: 3.72 (3 B's, the rest A's. This might've been what saved me.)

TEAS: 83 (2nd reason I didn't think I'd get in)

Good luck to those waiting! I've heard many people who get waitlisted end up getting in anyways, so just keep waiting!!

For those who are on waitlist who haven't finished their prereqs, you MUST finish before Aug 13.

Sadly, I got denied and below are my STATS;

Overall GPA: 4.00

Sci/Math GPA: 4.00

TEAS: 83

I didn't even get waitlisted. I understand my TEAS was a bit low, but i thought it was competitive along with my GPA

I'm wondering if Fran (she's the decision maker) cuts off at a certain GPA point she wants then compares the GPA groups?

Like maybe she compares 4.0's with each other & lets in a certain number.

Then 3.9,3.8, etc

Well that's crazy I'm sorry to hear that. And you had all your prerequisites done? I would definitely email and maybe inquire about it if you didn't apply to other schools. With a gpa like yours, you should have your pick of nursing schools.
