I just applied to Kennesaw State's program for Fall 2011. I thought it would be fun to do a roll call to see who else is out there beginning the waiting game!

Congrats to those who received letters!!! Keep checking your mailboxes!!! Those who don't get on, do not let this discourage you! Make an appt with F and she will sit down with you and be very honest and realistic if she thinks you have a chance...it could be something as easy as retaking your Teas and scoring better on your interview. You got the interview so you obviously have what it takes. Just tweak that one area! I had to retake my teas and nail my interview and I got in on my second try. Don't be ashamed to try again. I know several people who have had to do that. This program is one of the hardest, if not the hardest in the state to get into. Just stay positive!

I also got my letter today and have been accepted into the Accelerated Program! Yay! :anpom: Congratulations to the others that got accepted as well. I'm very excited to see that our first semester is in Kennesaw instead of Rome! Yipee! That will be a much shorter drive for me. Have any of you tried to register? The BIOL 3317 class hasn't even been given slots so students can register, and NURS 4402 is already full. :( I got the other two though.

For anyone that didn't make it, I wish you the best of luck this coming Spring. Keep a positive attitude and talk to F. She is very helpful! You've made it this far...don't give up!

Congrats! It looks like I'm one of the only ones on this thread in the traditional program right now. I tried to register and got a test score/prerequisite error. I sent an email to see what the problem is. I thought maybe I had to return my intent letter before I could register.

You won't be able to register. F will secure your classes and they will send a checklist for you in about a month. You can see the checklist online. I believe it is under clinicals. You will have to get immunizations updated, vaccines of needed and a background check, along with a drug test that you will take once you start school. Orientation will probably be a month before classes start. Within the letter, you also get info on ordering uniforms and your stethoscope....believer they will let you know so don't worry about that. Just male sure you are completely accepted at KSU and everything was processed correctly just to be on the safe side...hope that helps a little:)

Thanks, ugabelle for all the info! I was kind of surprised to see that I only got 2 pieces of paper in the mail yesterday. I saw the thin envelope and thought the worst. I guess I expected to get all the orientation info and everything too. I'm glad it's coming later.

I registered yesterday for nurs3209 and nurs3309. I couldn't register for 4402. I got the same error message you got, sings&shoots. I am taking pathophys this summer. Anyone else taking it? I am surprised that nurs4402 is online. Seems kind of intimidating to be taking a research class online

Whooo Hooooo! Got in for traditional track for Fall. Congrats to all accepted students and good luck to everyone. Now the hard part is making a decision on what school to go to :) Good luck to those who did not get in and don't give up, next semester you should be sure to make it in :)

Sorry you didn't make it. I couldn't help but notice how good your GPA and TEAS were. Did you apply for both accelerated and traditional? Your stats were way better than mine and I made it into the traditional program. Just something to think about. Good luck to you.

I'm in the traditional program with you! My family left for vacation in Savannah yesterday, and my in-laws checked the mail for us today. They called my wife to let us know. Pretty anticlimactic way to find out, but I'll take it. Can't wait to get started! See you in August.

wait-listed for the accelerated program. They didn't even tell me when those accepted to the program have to commit by, so there is no time line as to when I would find out. We won't be ranked on the wait list unless somebody turns down their admission. And there is no realistic chance that anybody who got accepted to the accelerated program is going to pass up that opportunity. Good luck to everybody who got in!
