Kennesaw State Fall 2013 Applicants

Just wondering if anyone out there is planning to apply to Kennesaw State for the Fall of 2013. I know the deadline is 3 months away, but I wanted to get a thread started for anyone interested in discussing the process as we go along!

I'm definitely interested in signing up for the same CPR class. Just let me know. Where can you find the list of instructors and times? Also, if the June 19th orientation is not already filled, I will try and sign up for that day too. Would love to meet you guys! Any word on when our nursing orientation is?

yikes! Does everyone have to pay $70 for orientation or is it only the transfer students? It's crazy that you have to pay for orientation!

Has any heard back with any type of confirmation after dropping/sending their acceptance contracts? I'm not sure if they do that or not but was I curious.

yes gjm4jc, I got an email. Although, I called to confirm and then they sent the email letting me know they got it. They told me that they still would get in touch with anyone that they did not receive a contract from. So they do double check. :)

I hand delivered mine so I don't know. But call to confirm. I was able to register for classes so I assume she didn't lose it :-)

Thank you Desir80's and stephanie. I left an email earlier today to Fran but did not get a response back. I will call tomorrow if I do not get a response since tomorrow is the deadline.

Stephanie, I dropped my off in person too on Wednesday but it was to a young gentlemen at the front desk where Fran's office was at. I am hoping that he gave it to her. I am not able to register yet because I am a new KSU student and would have to wait till August if I don't take the orientation, so that is why I signed up for the first one on June 19th. Also, Stephanie, I thought I remembered reading back that you were going to start a facebook page for the Fall 2013 nursing program? Are you still wanting to do that?

Desir80's, I am not sure when the nursing orientation is. I think we will get an email about that. As for the CPR info, you can find the list of instructors on the nursing website for Kennesaw under clinical --> general requirement but it does not have any dates or times. I may have to call to find out when they are. Also were you able to get the June 19th orientation?

You can call those instructors and schedule yourself for one of their classes.

Thanks gjm4jc! No, looks like there are no spaces for the June 19th orientation. The next one I can sign up for is June 28th.

Is orientation mandatory for y'all?

No it's not, but in order for me to register early I need to do the orientation. As I mentioned earlier, I'm a new student to KSU and canny register until August but if I go to orientation I can register that day. I don't want to wait to long to register and risk running the classes getting full. Stephanie, you said you already registered. What teacher did you register with for the nursing 3209 and 3309 and Patho? I was wandering if you had any recommendations to what teachers might be good.

There are enough seats for everyone accepted into nursing- they can't run out of seats.

I can't post names but I have Dr. DB for assessment and for holistic there are 3 teachers that rotate. I have morning Monday Wednesday holistic. We will all have patho together.
