Hello,

is there anyone out there that has applied for KSU's BSN program for Fall 2012? I know it is really early and the deadline isn't until Jan. 31, 2012, but just wanted to see if anyone will be playing the waiting game with me this early. I actually applied for the Spring 2012, but got wait-listed. I hope I get in, but the reality is that everyone I've heard of that was in my same situation didn't get in. I'll just give KSU one more try.

Ugh! I know the wait is killing me...I mean I feel fairly confident but you just never know until that letter arrives!

Same here, I feel confident with my grades and fairly confident about my interview but I am still so nervous because like you said, you never know! :-/

Hi ladies! Was just wondering, did all of you interview with a panel? I only had one woman interview me, wondering if that means anything. Does anyone know how many applicants there were? I'm applying for the traditional program. I have a 3.8 cumulative GPA and a 4.0 prereq GPA. 87 on the TEAS but I was totally unprepared for my interview (wish I had found this board first!!). Anyway, I'm nervous and am going to have a hard time waiting until the end of April to get a letter...

I also only had one woman interviewing me. Don't worry.. I think some people just got one person for no particular reason.. I have a 4.0 GPA and 83.3 on the TEAS. Good luck!! :)

Hi,

I also had two people interview me. They were very nice and easy to talk to. Hope everything going well. Does anyone know how many people got the interview and how many will they choose for traditional program?

I think someone said earlier in this post that 80 were being interviewed and 60 will be accepted? I'm not sure if this is just for traditional or traditional + accelerated.

I believe that there were actually 100 interviewed for the traditional and they will pick 80 people. I heard this stat from a girl who called and asked the nursing advisors. And a girl in my anatomy lab said that they will pick four out of every five! :)

Thanks for all the feedback, guys :-) brianaelise- four out of five? I like those odds! The woman who did my interview told me they accept approximately 120 students twice a year. I'm assuming it's 60 accelerated and 60 traditional (??)

planetleah- I know four out of five is pretty great! :) I know they accept less people for the acclerated program so it might be more like 80 for traditional and 40 for acclerated? maybe, lol. Did you apply for traditional program planetleah?

Yeah, traditional program for me... I initially applied for the accelerated but I have a 4 month old and decided that I would probably be biting off more than I can chew (!); I had Fran switch me to the traditional a few weeks back. You?

Oh wow! :) Yeah, I would have been a little nervous about trying to do the accelerated! I am also doing the traditional program! I am so so so nervous about being accepted!

Hey hellenvn!

I hope so as well. I was reading the post for spring 2012 and they got their letters within a little over 2 weeks after the interviews ended so hopefully it is that early for us as well! :) I feel like the wait is killing me, I just wanna know already! lol
