Kennesaw State BSN Fall 09

U.S.A. Georgia

Published

Well, I got my app and transcripts in just under the 1/31 deadline and now I play the waiting game. Anyone else applying for Fall semester? I shooting for both the regular BSN program and the accelerated version. I did really good on the TEAS (91) but my grades leave a lot to be desired (3 A's and the rest are B's), so I'm pretty nervous as to whether I have a chance. :p

To everyone else who is, good luck!

Congratulations to everybody that has made it this far!

Kpxqtx619....surely there are more people that have gotten in the traditional program that can join in here, hopefully we can touch base soon. We will have to do a CPR class among other things before starting and that would be a great opportunity to meet up.

Well I actually have taken the CPR class already. But I'm sure we'll have other opportunities to meet. Congrats everyone!

Congratulations Do or Do Not!!! Kennesaw was your first pick, wasn't it?

Thanks Hope! Yep, KSU's my first choice and as such I'm gonna head there for Fall.

Hello! I'm a new member but I have been on in the past viewing info on KSU. I was also accepted into the accelerated program at KSU for Fall 09. I was so excited. I have been mentally preparing myself for this new journey. Congrats to everyone!! Has anyone received any info concerning orientation? Thanks!

I've emailed Fran to ask her to send me all the stuff I need to get done before the program starts. She has yet to get back to me on that. Has anyone else gotten anything from her? I got the KSU transfer orientation dates: 6/23, 7/14, 7/21, & 7/28, plus my financial aid awards. Nothing else besides that.

Congrats guys, I'm really happy for you! I'm trying to apply for the next year. I have a foreign BA and will take Math and Chem this summer at KSU. I couldn't find any open BIO class to register. My Eng 1 and 2 were accepted and are "B"s. My devl psych is also accepted and is a "B". My world lit is also accepted and is a "C". This means, I am starting already a little behind and hope to receive "A"s from now on. My GPA from my BA is about 2.9-3.0. Do you know anybody who got in with those grades? I hope I can get a high score in TEAS. I spoke to Fran once and asked if I really have to have a top GPA and she said no, that they are looking for other things as well. Hope somebody can give me advice. Thanks so much!

I only had 3 A's on my record when I applied and all the rest were B's. Do really good on the TEAS, do good in the interview and you'll get in.

Can you let me know when she gets back to you?

Yeah sorry. Forgot :imbar

She got back to me a few days later. She's gonna send out our checklist at the end of June, but in her own words "don't worry, you'll have more than enough time to get your things done." Mandatory NS orientation is on July 31, so don't be on vacation during that day.

I had to go pick up my orientation packet at the post office....they sent it without any postage! So if any of you have gotten a slip to pick up a package, go get it soon!!!

Specializes in ER.

For those of you who got in the general track program, did any of you have 3 A's a B and a C in the math/science pre-req area? That's what I have and I am wondering what my chances are. I don't have a best 5 of 7 because I have not yet taken my last 2 sciences. Out of the general pre-reqs I have all A's if that matters. Just wondering if I can get in with these courses as they are. I appreciate any feedback. TIA!

Robin

Has anyone else NOT received their package yet?

Everyone else looking forward to orientation on Friday? I am....minus the fact that it's at 08:00 and I live in Rome!

:smilecoffeeIlovecof

And that checklist...wow! That is a real bunch of mumbo jumbo! Still a little confused as to what to do with the background check :p, Anyways, see everyone there!

Did you get your question about the background check answered today? Basically, you logon, pay for it, and they will send you an email that you can forward on to Ms. Dixon-Sallie. Then, hold off going to labcorp until after the 1st day of classes.

I agree...lots of paperwork! I'm going to try getting started on dosage calculations this weekend...it sounds like we are going to have our hands full!

I'm guessing you were one of the guys from Rome, then? Not much time to meet people today, but with such a nice, small class, I'm sure we'll all get to know each other in a couple of weeks:up:
