Kennesaw Accelerated BSN Fall 2010

Hey,

I'm new to this site and would like some information/advice on the interviewing process. I haven't heard anything about the interview which sucks, but I have to prepare....Does anyone know when they will be mailing out the interview letters? What kinds of questions do they ask? If you do not mind to share your GPA and TEAS with me also. Thanks so much! Best wishes for those who have applied!

Interview letters typically go out the first week of March with the interviews taking place in late March. There is also information about the interview process in general in the thread referenced above.

KSU has a total of 5 categories they use to rank candidates, each being worth 20%. These categories include overall GPA, best 5 of 7 math & science pre-reqs, best 7 of 12 pre-reqs, TEAS score, and the interview. Hopefully we both get good news soon!

I also applied for fall 2010 admission. I heard that the interview letters will be mailed in March. My GPA is 3.54 and my TEAS score is 87.4......Anybody out there that also applied????????

I have also applied to the accelerated program. I have roughly a 3.23 and 86.6 on TEAS. I'm nervous b/c it doesn't seem like my GPA is competitive.

Your GPA is not bad, and your TEAS score is great.......Hopefully the Interview letters will come out next week.

Yeah, I haven't even looked at what my GPA would be for the 7 out of 12 classes. I'm trying not to stress too much. Have you guys looked into any financial aid? Since I already used Hope for my BS, I'm not really sure what else I can do to help pay. Obviously we can't work at all, so I was wondering what everyone plans to do?

I just talked to Fran and she noted that the dates of nursing interviews will start on March 31st and continue through April 9th. They are still reviewing applications and no info on when interview letters will be sent out.

I have two questions, for anyone who might know. First, of those that get an interview, how many get accepted? In other words, if you get an interview, what are the chances that you'll get accepted provided you don't botch the interview? Secondly, are your chances of acceptance better for the traditional BSN program or the accelerated? Thank you!

Hey guys. I also applied to KSU for Fall of 2010. I am nervous about the interview because I have never been on one. I am curious as to what type of questions they will ask. My GPA is 4.0 but my TEAS is only an 80. I am hoping that they will balence each other out.

Did you get invited for an interview? If so, congratulations! I have heard they ask questions such as: Have you ever been in a situation where your ethics have been challenged or compromised, how have you handled situations where you have a conflict with a superior/supervisor. I don't know any other specific questions - if anyone else does, please feel free to add them!

No I haven't received any information yet from KSU. I hope they mail the letters before I leave for spring break. I applied to three other schools. I will let you guys know if I hear anything. FINGERS CROSSED!
