Nursing Students SRNA

Published

I have applied to Keiser University CRNA program in Naples, FL for 2019.. anyone else planning to or already applied there for 2019? Anyone starting in January 2019? Please do not comment about the school being a "last resort" school as seen in past threads and posts. This thread is intended solely for current and future applicants applying in 2019. If you had interviewed at Keiser before, please provide some insights.

Did you hear anything today? I didn't receive any word. Stressed out since it seems others got acceptance news the following day.

I know it's hard but try to relax.. they might want to compare yesterday's interview with last week's and maybe come to a conclusion. How many people were interviewed yesterday?

Not sure. One other person with me in the 9:30 slot.

CRNAdegSeeker:

Did you hear back from them the next day after the interview too? I'm so nervous now because I didnt hear from them today

Have you checked your email? They sent me email today.

They sent you an email that you're accepted? Great no email for me. Congrats to you

It was in my junk mail!!!!!! So excited

Congrats Cbmarsh32 and Bvnurse!!!

Congratulations to you all!

Hello Everyone,

I am calling myself ARNPtoCRNA here.I am an acute care ARNP applying for the 2019 October cohort @ Keiser. In addition to having my MSN ACNP, I am also an experienced EMT-Paramedic and I hold an MBA with specialization in Healthcare Management. I work in a level 1 trauma center . I have 8 years ICU experience as an RN plus an additional 2 years ICU experience as an LPN ( I was an exception to the rule, becuase of my EMT-Paramedic background ).16 years as an EMT-Paramedic. I was a ICU charge/resource nurse before NP school . Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society , Actually finishing my last 3 classes for my BSN now . Figured I would do the 5 classes I needed to have it since my origin batchelors degree Information Technology/Computer Science not in nursing. Also half way thru law school (JD) Juris Doctor . I won't practice law , but I wanted to have the preparation to help me in healthcare management.

My passion is being a healthcare clinician. I am glad to see so many graduate level trained nurses applying to the program. It makes me feel more comfortable knowing I am not the only person with advanced degrees looking for further training to grow and succeed like some of the prospective students to Keiser's CRNA program. If I am accepted into the Keiser program , I have every intention of completing my DNAP program also at Keiser once I complete the MSNA. I look forward to meeting you all in Naples if I am accepted. Good luck to you all. ARNPtoCRNA

I got accepted to the 2019 cohort, anyone worried about the accreditation review thats suppose to be in January. I know some of us are taking loans out, do you think the loans will be paid back by the school if they lose accreditation. They seem pretty confident during the interview that they will pass the review, but then again I heard the fall 2018 calss weren't able to take their certification exam due to accreditation. If anyone can shed some light I would greatly appreciate it, because i'm debating if I should apply somewhere else, before putting a deposit down.

Welcome ARNPtoCRNA

I, too, am a ACNP and yeah you definitely sound like a competitive candidate and I'd be surprised if you don't get admitted to a program, you should be able to get into your first choice school. You didn't really comment on you GPA but given that you're a member of sigma Theta Tau honor society, I'm sure you have high GPA. I am also a member of Sigma. I think you are a strong candidate given your extensive background and life experiences.
