KCC ADN FALL 2015

Published

Hi guys,

So I submitted my application for fall 2015, and I am anxiously waiting for my letter. I've bee checking my mail everyday!

My stats are:

3.5 Prereq/Coreq GPA, including both Coreqs completed with A's

73.3% TEAS

Did anybody else apply for fall??

What side of the island do you live on? My po box is in Aiea and it wasn't there and my home address is Kapolei and it's not there either. Weird how you got yours so soon!

I'm going to retake some courses that I got B's in, along with retake my TEAs test to better my chances for Manoa. I will also apply for spring if I don't get in.

Well sorry to hear that.

i live in Manoa. I'm retaking classes right now then I don't hav any other classes to take. I'm gonna retake my TEAS also.

I had all my pre and co reqs done one B and the rest A's. I have been working as a CMA for 1.5 years and I had a 76 on my teas test.

Your stats are pretty good! Better than mines. Your first year applying?

Yeah I'm pretty shocked that curlie didn't get in. I mean ALL A's and only ONE B and healthcare experience? I mean did everyone score in the 80s and 90s for the teas test? I would have thought that they would have gotten in. Competition must be really strong this application cycle.

I wonder if they calculate the GPA in a weighted format? Time for me to prepare to retake classes.

Didnʻt make it in either!

Going to move to outer island where I was accepted into another nursing program. Itʻs not ideal, but they all bridge over to UH Manoa so I end up at same place in less time.

a plus of outer islands is less traffic!

Yeah, I'm shocked myself! That's what I'm gonna be applying with next semester - all As, one B, & health experience. I'm gonna retake my teas also tho.

Well I'll be checking my mail tomorrow right at 11. Not feeling very hopeful after all these people posting with better stats than me.

Wow no letter yet. Wonder what's going on.

Called up KCC office and was told they mailed all letters out last Thursday and I should have received mine already. Crazy. Asked them to verify if my application was received and they took down my info and hung up.

I wonder if they even got my application! I turned it into the kekaulike office the first day applications were being accepted.

Are you serious?? Yeah, on my letter, it said it was sent out on the first... But I receiced mines this Saturday. But if you turned it in on the first day, you should've been one of the letters sent out! That's crazy.

Yea at this point I have pretty much accepted the fact I didn't get in. I'm going to retake my TEAs and 2 classes over the summer to increase my chances for spring.

Who knows if the letter actually comes in and says otherwise.

Yeah imma retake my teas also. Shucks, hopefully your letter comes in soon! I mean maybe they mispelt your address? Idk. My address was spelt wrong but got sent to the right house still.

So I askd one of my former classmates who got into the program this past semester, & he entered with a 3.8 GPA, 79% TEAS, & CNA. That's like average-ish scores.

Not accepted :(. Seems like you need a 3.6+ gpa/79+teas/healthcare xp/coreqs completed just to be competitive. Applying to Manoa also next cycle.
