I realize this may be bringing up a touchy subject, so I apoligize for that first off. My group is doing a project for school on the charges laid against nurses after Hurricane Katrina (the stories of euthanasia/murder). We're interested in reports, personal accounts, gov't docs etc from both sides of issue. I was wondering if someone could point me in the direction of any good articles, websites or contacts that would be able to provide me with good information on this topic. I'm planning to spend this weekend doing my own research into the issue, but was just thinking that some of the locals in the area might have some good resources to share. Hopefully someone out there will have something to send me in the right direction!
Thanks in advance for any help!

There was much discussion about this:

this is in limbo right now...nurses/md have been charged but has not come to trial..there is a lot of jockeying between lawyers before anything can be determined
Thanks for the link spacenurse! I'll check it out
Wow! Ok, so I spent most of last night reading all 475 posts on that thread. Very interesting, and I bookmarked all of the links posted for further reading. Thankyou again for the link spacenurse.
My new question is could someone point me in the direction of any recent documents/articles/affidavits/statements about these charges? Do the accused nurses have websites of their own defending their side of the story?
CHATSDALE: Do you know why it is limbo right now? Is there a lack of evidence, or public outcry for the nurses not to be charged?

Maybe try nola.com or TimesPicayune.com. (New Orleans newspaper & website. ) Just a thought.
Thankyou suezee106, I'll do that.
