I will be taking the NCLEX in THREE DAYS! Aagh. I have not been on this site much since I joined (been busy studying, have a 2yr old and am currently about 8mos pregnant) but of course I'm freaking out now. I hope to come here after the NCLEX and help others who are going through it (hopefully I pass!)
Anyway, I'm taking the complete online prep program by Kaplan and just took the Readiness Test with a score of 74%. I know that the question trainer tests should be 65% or more but can't find any information on their site about what score I should get on the Readiness Test. It's annoying. Yes it's helpful to see my strong and weak areas in the test analysis they provided- but it didn't even state anything about whether I'm ready to take the NCLEX or not! (Even the video orientation says this test should be used to determine readiness for NCLEX, but also does not state what score to aim for)
So I'm not sure if 74% is great (if passing is 65%) or if it stinks (if I should have gotten 80% or higher). No idea!
I'm planning on going over all the answers tomorrow as well as doing a few q-bank tests before taking question trainer 7 tomorrow night. If I get a bad score on QT7 then I still have time to reschedule my NCLEX (must be 24hrs in advance). I really just want to get it over with and all my predictor tests have been good so far (according to the exit exam at my school I have a 93% chance of passing and I have gotten above 65% on all the Kaplan trainers) but I really don't want fail. It would be sooo much better to pass it the first time since my baby is due in 5 weeks!
I would appreciate any input. Thank you so much!

I think if you get 65% in test trainers 6 & 7 that is passing in Kaplan. Good luck on your boards. Calm down before you go into labor before your boards, but then again, you might be carry a future nurse, so feed that baby some nursing information. Anyway Good luck on your boards, I hope you pass

From what I remember, 60-65 is borderline range! Anything below 60 is non-passing and anything above 65 is passing range! I got a 64% on my Readiness Test!

If that's the 180 question readiness test, the passing is 75
But if that's the question trainer, passing is 65
But everybody says if its kaplan, 65 above is considered passing!

I spoke with a Kaplan representative a short time ago and her words were; if you score around the 66% range on all the tests you are "golden". So from my understanding, you have nothing to worry about based on your Kaplan scores....I too just took the readiness test and got a 64% although I did rush through it somewhat. Hope this helps:)

Hi me too i've finished my review class at kaplan...I remembered one of our instructor told us that the passing score in kaplan is 65% on which ever exam they have... If you get above 65% then you're doing good...

Your scores must have been good because you later reported that you passed. Again, congratulations!
