Kaplan questions scoring higher when answering faster?

Published

Okay, So hi first of all. New member but I've been turning to this forum for words of wisdom. Here's my situation. I took the NCLEX-RN last June and didn't pass. Then I enrolled for Kaplan and am schedule to take my second test Oct. 1 this friday. I'm 70% into the QBbanks and am scoring about high 50's and low 60%... My issue is, I've noticed that i score in the high 50's low 60's when I answer questions in a faster paced manner... So then I ask myself, "Hey, I should score higher if I take my time reading the question and really thinking each answer choice out." But I don't... the times I've answered a set of 50 questions on the Qbanks taking my time... I score disappointingly bad at 40 something percent!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't want to go into the NCLEX friday morning answering questions at a faster pace... but if the trend I've been noticing were true, then shooting for accuracy to pass at 75 questions and take my time answering, just might harm me... I'm lost and this isn't the feeling where I wanted to be at at this point in time...

I was confident Monday morning. It's Wednesday evening, and I feel terrible and lost.

are you still checking this board , because it is now a few years later and I'm in the same boat and after taking SATA on Kaplan #4 I was ready to vomit but confidence back up after Question trainor #7 feeling good at 58%, all Qbank in the 55-70's I take NCLEX in a7 days, did the decesion tree help you , I feel I know most answers without tree, but using the tree really slows me down and yeah my HR has been 100 for a few days lol.....if anyone else sees this and can advise please help...thank you very much
