KAPLAN QBANK or KAPLAN textbook?

KAPLAN online qbank and KAPLAN textbook with cd

Is there any difference? coz what i have no budget for the qbank..

Help?

I think that there are more questions in the Qbank...I looked at a Kaplan book but it was an old edition, and then I bought the Kaplan program. But the questions were worded similarly, I believe.

Also-I mean there has to be a difference because the price difference is significant. Try the book and see what you think! And Saunders is good practice too.

The Qbank has 1176 questions in it. I have done all the questions in the Qbank and I didn't pass...I hope you have more luck than I did!!!!!

Honestly,

Neither. They are not worth it , in my opinion. I, like many others Ive been reading have failed using Kaplan. Save your money and go with Saunders & use Suzanne's plan. Im doing it, and it's helped me enormously.

I think just the book is enough. IMO, don't rely only on Kaplan to help you pass. True the questions are structured exactly like NCLEX but the content needs to be understood and known. If you use the Qtrainers has an indicators it could give you a false sense of confidence. You may not have the same q's on the exam. Use Saunder's for content. If you're having trouble with some disease, etc utilize your textbook. I used my Brunner and Suddarth's Textbook of Med-Surg and sometimes Wikipedia.

I think Kaplan was good practice. And the 7th trainer with 265 questions did seem to test my ability to sit for an exam that long, and to test my stamina. I took the 7th trainer in less than three hours, so I knew if should I have 265 questions, I would most likely be able to get them completed in the allotted six hours.

I say go with the Qbank. I completed all of the Qbank questions and reviewed the rationales for EVERY question. Even the ones that I got right. The computer shut off in 75 questions and I felt very prepared. Good Luck
