Kaplan I dont Know if I am Ready :(

Published

Hello all,

I recently finished my kaplan course and I am very depressed about my q trainer scores. Has anyone ever had these scores and passed the NCLEX? I haven't started the q bank yet. Hopefully my scores will improve. Also, my instructor advised me to complete QT 6-7 closer to my test date so i held off on doing them. Any suggestions? I am taking my test in February and am really anxious as this will be my third time. :(. I really want to pass this time.

Diagnostic 60

Readiness 61

QT1 55

QT2 48

QT3 50

QT4 54

QT 5 49

I also did the Kaplan course and made HORRIBLE scores on those quizzes/tests even though I was an A/B student in school. I Passed NCLEX on the first try. Fellow classmates also told me they didn't do well on those. With that said, I don't think it is a waste of time, the questions are harder, but it makes you think and also gives you a bit of a reality check. I ended up using Mosby's and went through the entire book, it's repetitive which I thought was great because there are only so many ways they can ask you a question about a certain topic.

Best of luck to you!

Thanks. I am just sort of tired and scared bc my test is in a month and I Really Really don't want to fail again. :( What is Mosby's. Is it a book like Saunders or the Kaplans Content Review?

Just make sure you go over all the rationales on the Qtrainers and Qbanks and make sure you know why you got it wrong. I had a notebook and I would write the rationales in it and I would go over it before I went to sleep. Try to do 90% of the Qbank before your test. Good luck!

Mosby what ?

Apologies.. Mosby's NCLEX book

Also if you can, try to buy Lacharity's assessment, delegation, and assignments. Those are really good for priority and who do you see first.

Wow! It's like you read my mind. I am down in the dumps with this Kaplan course. I just finished taking QT4 and got a 48%. I thought to myself has anyone passed with low scores like mine??? I need help, advice, words of encouragement.....

I got a 52% on Qtrainer 4. I passed the NCLEX this week. Just keep going over the rationales and understand why you got the questions incorrect. Good luck!

That is so encouraging knowing that you passed the NCLEX. :) Now I have a little hope. I have also been doing the Qbank I am at a 50% total percentage correct to date. I heard you need to consistently get 60-65% on the q bank tests to know if you are ready. Slowly but surely I will get there. Thanks
