KAPLAN or HURST?

Published

hello nurses, im just about to enroll in an online review, which i am bravely going to do in a month, hoping to take it just before April.

the only dilemma i have left is whether i take KAPLAN or HURST?

im pretty sure there are already discussions about this (not sure for thread, i cant find any) and i seriously need to decide today or tomorrow. :) can u guys help me with this? KAPLAN is about $416 and HURTS is $300. but whatever amout it is, it wont matter as long as i know i made the right choice.

help me out guys. which review center helped you pass?

i'm considering online review with live exams for both.

thank youuu

hopefully a future USRN soon,

I actually used both to prepare for NCLEX. It really depends on what your problem areas are. If you are having a problem with content then I would recommend HURST since its a good review of content. IF you need help with test taking and the format on how NCLEX asks questions then I would say you need Kaplan.

Honestly, I would recommend Kaplan only because the questions are similar to the questions that are asked on boards. Kaplan has Question Trainers and QBank questions. The Qbank is very similar to NCLEX questions. The questions that come with Hurst review are relatively easy (think Saunders questions). YOu areally aren't going to see alot nor do you want to see alot of them on your boards.

Hope this helps!!!

i took hurst and fail it first time and now enroll in kaplan hope to pass 2nd time

Either one is a good choice as long as you put effort into use of the product.

You have to put forth an effort to reap the benefits. Paying that much for a review course and not using it wisely is a complete waste of time. Good luck in your studies. :banghead:
