Kaplan/Exam Cram & Saunders

Published

Hi this is Stephanie and I am taking my NCLEX-PN exam on June 24th, I already have Saunders 4th edition as well as Exam Cram, now I'm not sure if I should buy Kaplan's book also, or is that too many books. I trust want to try and pass on the first try. I really need some advice on what to do.

Thanks

Stephanie

Good question! I have read here that Saunders is good for content, but not at the level you need to be able to answer. Exam Cram and Kaplan seem to be the best. I, too, am doing all three, and hoping it will work the first time around...

Good luck!

With time running down for you, you should have your resources already and should be winding down with your preparation. Now is not the time to delve into an entire new book. You don't want to confuse yourself or get overwhelmed. Good luck.

Well I decided to just do what Ihave been doing from the beginning using Saunders and answering questions 100 a day. I will not be buying the Kaplan book only have 3 weeks. I hope I pass and know how to answer the NCLEX questions. I've been answering questions from the Exam Cram and Saunders.

Thanks

Stephanie

From all my friends that have taken the nclex. They all studied just using one book for content and that was the saunders 4th edition book. Im studying for the nclex right now and i think its great. As far as questions go, i would do questions from kaplan, saunders, nclex4000 and examcram is good too. Good Luck

please be careful with Saunders there are some incorrect answers, like you are to have the patient breath slowing when removing the NG tube, wrong patient need to take deep breath and hold it, ugh I have descepencies
