Kaplan ADN program January 2013

U.S.A. California

Hello, The previous thread regarding Kaplan College 2012 was closed, so I thought I would check in with everyone that has or is applying for the January cohort. Anyone get confirmation for January acceptance yet? Sent from my iPhone.

My email said orientation was the 3rd and I'm scheduled for my DON meeting the 10th!

Really? hmmm.... Do I have my dates crossed?

Are you showing the orientation on the 3rd with a time of 4pm-6pm?

You mentioned getting schedules in December. Any more word on that? I heard we don't get schedules until our small group meeting with the DON (a week before school starts).

Yeah my email said from 4-6. Haven't heard about schedules yet! Have you had ur financial aid meeting yet? I keep waiting for them to get that rolling! Haha

4-6pm, okay...then I must have the two dates turned around. No, haven't heard anything from FA yet. Wondering if we need to get the backgrounds in first. With that, I'm thinking December for FA. Not sure though.

I thought FA was supposed to happen after they figured out xfer credits. Eh who knows. I guess it'll happen when it happens! Haha. What time is ur DON meeting?

My rep said FA appts should be getting scheduled soon! Whoohoo!

Hi Rnmonkey69!

Thanks for the FA update. It's pretty funny that we get excited over appointments with FA. Lol!

As far as your moving- from NorCal? Just remember an old post mentioning this And wonder if that was you:-) I don't know anyone personally, but I'm sure you'll find someone to share a place with:-) When are you planning your move?

Are you coming in for the entire program? Or are you doing the LVN-RN step up?

Best of luck with your move!

For me hard part wasn't getting in cuz I scored in the 90's percentile, it's the finance lol that worries meI'm planning to move beggining of January, last step is the fa process.. I already have a bs in bio do already done with most pre reqs jus nursing classes left to be done, Imma probably search local ads for a place but thought there might be other students in the cohort I'n the same boat that would be reading and looking for a place

U should talk to ur rep and maybe they have a suggestion for u. Maybe a way to get in touch with some classmates (more dependable than this forum). Or maybe even a way to find a place since I'm sure they've had students in past relocate:).

Yes, FA can be scary, but if you only have nursing courses to take, that should certainly reduce the pain of FA.

As far as a roommate-I must agree with jezz09???? Lol. Your rep might know of other students in the cohort that are looking for roommates. This forum is great, but not everyone going to Kaplan is on here. With this said, the odds should increase greatly when talking to your rep:-)

Good luck everyone.
