Kaiser Socal New Grad Spring 2024

Hi everyone, I wanted to make this for everyone applying for the Kaiser Socal New Grad Program starting in March 2024

Hi everyone, 

I also did my career snapshot last week and have not heard from them yet. I have a couple of questions about this program if anyone can help me. If you have a friend or know someone who did this program, how was their experience? It's one of the closest hospital in my area so I am wondering how they usually run the program and if people like it. Also, does anyone know how likely would it be to move from the original units (Telemetry/ Med-Surg/ Oncology) into ICU or other specialty departments? I would like to hear from others so any input would be nice. Thank you!

I believe Kaiser offers a transitional program after 1 year in the new grad residency program that you can apply for to get into the ICU (I believe there is a waitlist though).

Thank you so much! I didn't know they had that program. I was wondering if I how I would be able to switch to ICU or if I should just reapply in a couple of years and the get ICU experience somewhere else.

Does anyone have any update on when we will hear back from the hospital? If you have friends or family who were previously part of the new grad program? I am applying to other hospitals too I want to get at a least timeline, so I know how to move forward :(

Not sure when we'll hear back for interviews but my submission status has now changed to "talent acquisition review in progress" so moving in the right direction!

Mine still says submission complete for Anaheim, South Bay, and Downey

Mine changed as well and it's for Los Angeles Sunset. Hope this info helps, NurseM144 and PinkoKat

I prob didn't get in then ? I hope I get an update from the other locations soon at least

Anyone have any update on interviews? I got rejected from 2 locations I applied for 2 other locations that says submission complete
