Hi, wondering if anyone here knows when the next dates are available to the Kaiser SoCal New Grad residency program? I missed the deadline for the Fall 2025 cohort. Or how often they have new cohorts
Hey Guys,
I was. asked to provide my BLS card in 24 hours with my application yesterday and it also stated to provide my ACLS. I provided my BLS, however, I emailed the person back and said I plan to take my ACLS course in January because I was told we can submit that documentation later. She responded:
"You indicated on your career snapshot that you had your ACLS. Whatever you disclose on your career snapshot is what you are indicating you have at the time you apply. Since you won't have your ACLS until January, we are unable to proceed in the process. Feel free to apply for the next cohort."
I replied and asked if she could clarify because I thought we were told differently and that I am an internal candidate.
Ugh.

I thought it was preferred and we were able to submit it at a later time. IDK I asked for clarification because it's kind of unfair that that's the reason I'm out.

I don't remember if the exact phrasing was "do you have your ACLS" but I don't think it asked if you are planning on getting it. I thought the submitting stuff later only applies to things like your RN license. They might've viewed it as you being dishonest

I remember them saying something like this about the LOR from a Kaiser employee, but not any of the other documents. I'm sorry, that is pretty arbitrary given that the confusion was clarified.

I'm sorry to hear that. But on the snapshot they specifically ask if you already have it. Not if you plan on getting it. So, answering yes technically means you lied. The right answer would have been no since ACLS is not a requirement.
