Kaiser Permanente SoCal July cohort

Updated:   Published

What Members Are Saying (AI-Generated Summary)

Members are discussing receiving offer letters for various nursing positions at different medical centers in locations such as Anaheim, Woodland Hills, San Diego Medical Center, and West LA. Some members have received offers for Labor and Delivery (L&D) units, while others are still waiting to hear back about Medical Surgical (MedSurg) positions. There is also discussion about contacting HR for updates on offers, with some members experiencing delays in communication.

Starting a thread for those applying to KP So Cal for the August 2025 cohort.

The next info webinar will be on March 18th at 10am.
I'll be graduating in July. After talking to some of the recruiters I was told most likely I won't get picked because of the timeline. Your license has to be posted prior to the start date which is August 18th. But I will still try 🙃

I am an internal candidate, BSN applicant. Good luck to all!

Hi!

it's officially Friday before interviews start, has anyone heard from Downey yet?

They have two positions open for med surg.  Should be one full time and one part time position.  Not sure how many slots for L&D

Nothing yet, status also says submission status completed

From what I've seen on this thread no one has been contacted from riverside. I wonder if there is a chance we might be contacted next week? Or if they already hired internally? I know other hospitals are prioritizing internal candidates right now.

Haven't heard from San Marcos or SD yet either.

The last Downey cohort only hired 1 person!

Two cohorts ago, there were 30 people invited to be interviewed in Harbor city. 24 people showed up. The interview was divided into 4 parts. First part is introduce your self /getting to know you type of questions, which was who ever volunteered.  2nd part was the scenario questions where they asked people one by one starting from the front.  They had like 15 or so questions/scenarios, so questions repeated .  Think of patient safety in this part.

Third part is a group presentation, then after this people got sent home, the finalist stayed and that's where they had the ACLS questions on the 4th part

Thank you!!  For the cohort you interviewed with at kp south bay - how many spots were available for this cohort?

I wish they were more open like how many new grad positions they are planning to hire for the different units. That way we can get an idea of our chances😅 I know for the last cohort they had over 1600 applications for so cal & they only hired about 60 all together. Anyway I applied for Riverside and haven't heard anything🥲
