Kaiser nurses? Anyone out there?

Published

I had a wonderful interview at Kaiser locally today.

Draw back? the job I interviewed for is not your basic 9-5. Its rather 2-10o=pm. Not my favorite shift, but maybe I could move to another position after time?

How is the money at Kaiser? I currently make about as much as I can in my specialty. I heard from a colleague who was hired there that she was offered $15 more dollars an hour more than her last job.

is this realistic?

Specializes in ER.

What is the position? And where are you located? I worked for Kaiser in the Northwest, and loved it.

They had clinic and acute care inpatient, as well as some home health, and case management roles, in nursing at least. A 15 dollar an hour gap is wide, but it wouldn't surprise me, depending on where you're currently at, and where you live regionally.

Specializes in Pediatrics.

I don't work for Kaiser (yet) I have been applying, their jobs in my area are advertised to be $2-4 more starting then the other hospitals in my area.

Specializes in Oncology, Emergency.

Your location please

Specializes in Emergency Medicine.

If you have the opportunity to work for Kaiser do it.

Great health benefit and if you give them 15 years

you're set for life. Not just you but your entire family.

They also are usually setting the standard for wages in

any market they have a presence in...

I live in Los Angeles area. This is for a Case Management job... ( RN needed but no floor nursing.. thank goodness )(

I'm in the Mid-Atlantic region and yes, it's true, Kaiser pays significantly better than comparable employers. It's a nice place to work!

Specializes in Vents, Telemetry, Home Care, Home infusion.

moved to our california nurses forum...see previous posts here re kaiser

Here it is... what would you say is the average increase over lets say your regular hospital?? Curious.
