Hello everyone,

Starting this thread for all of us who just applied for Fall 2022. Hoping to exchange information and support each other through this rigorous process. Share any updates!

Thank you. I received one. Are we only supposed to choose one city from the SF group?

I think so! The way I understood it, we can choose to interview at one of the 4 SF area hospitals, but if we receive an offer, it isn't guaranteed that we would be placed there. Please correct me if I'm wrong!

To the people that got an interview invite could you guys share your application details if you don’t mind? Like do you have Kaiser experience, were you a recipient of the scholarship, volunteer experience etc…

Hi! I have my BSN and RN. I haven't taken an EKG class, but I have my BLS and ACLS. My GPA is alright, nothing impressive. I don't have any KP experience, but I have a few volunteer jobs on my resume. I was a recipient of a few scholarships in college, but not the specific one they mentioned in the career snapshot. I'd like to think the thing that made the difference in my application was what I wrote for the short essay questions!

I got an interview for Solano! Good luck to everyone!

I had a clinical at kasier in southern california. as for scholarships -none. but I had 700+ volunteer hours. I didn't really write a long essay in the snapshot (it was like 4 sentences LOL I didn't know it was a big part of the selection process). I had a high GPA in nursing school but I also have another bachelors in biology. I also have all my licenses/certifications. I applied last round and didn't have my NCLEX passed so I didn't get anything.

I completed about 240 clinical hours throughout different units in a Kaiser facility during the first semester of my nursing program. Had a 3.5 GPA, BLS, ACLS, scholarship recipient, volunteer experience w/refugees at a food bank/family services center, LOR from my preceptor, prior CNA experience at a non-kaiser facility, and faculty references. Did not take an EKG class prior to applying. A lot of my clinical experiences were also on PCUs with telemetry monitoring.

Hey all, congrats to everyone that got an invite! I’m kinda getting frustrated since this would be the second round I’ve applied without any luck getting to interviews.  I have my ACLS, PALS, BLS, ekg course, two letters of rec, 5 years of direct patient care and customer service, received a scholarship, and decent GPA but no prior kaiser rotations or experience. Any tips on how to improve my chances? I chose one specific hospital to be at rather than a whole area/county. Do you guys think that would be factor?

I feel like there’s no clear cut answer unless you ask HR. By 5 years of direct patient care, you don’t mean RN experience right? Also you have your RN license right?

I also chose one hospital.

im so sorry ? I would definitely email them and ask.

To everyone here: Thank you all for answering all the questions I have through this process journey.

Wishing us all luck.
