Members are discussing the timeline for new grad nurse residency program positions at North Bay for Spring 2025, with some members receiving offers and others waiting for updates. There is also a discussion about the number of residents being hired for different locations, the hours offered after the residency, and communication about virtual resident huddles.
Hello All,
I wanted to create a new thread for Kaiser NorCal Nurse Residency Spring March 2025 application cycle. Anyone know if there is any EKG and ACLS online class for RN?

My interview yesterday was majority behavioral style questions, I'd say have some stories prepared for culturally sensitive care, team work, and handling difficult situations/people. Those topics stood out the most. Only one clinical competency question
Congrats on making it through the interview! Thank you for the tips. Did it take the entire 2 hours? Also, did they say when they were sending out acceptance letters?

Mine did take the entire 2 hours, well they left a few mins at the end open for questions. They said we should hear from them by Jan 9th. When is your interview?

Where did you interview for? Did they tell you how many they will hire at your location?

I don't think this is true. I think someone was just trying to cause issues. They said during my interview that regional would get back to us by January 10th

Oh okay thank you! I'll stay positive then! Since it said "by" Jan 10 I was thinking technically that could be true if they got it offered so just wanted to see if anyone else heard back

No... I've worked for Kaiser many years and they are very by the book. They won't just offer people the job without letting regional go through the proper steps. I may be wrong but it would be extremely rare if that happened. My friends from previous cohort heard back within 3 weeks

Thank you! That made me super anxious too! I know other organizations like Dignity have called candidates and offered a position right after the interview so it's kind of scary to hear that it could have happened. Do you know if they call or email if one's accepted/hired? I wonder if the panel who interviewed is the one who decides who gets in or if regional makes the final decision.

Email with location placement.
I believe but I might be wrong that the people on the panel will decide for their location. I've heard of other locations picking up other candidates that did not get a job at their first locations. So in short they decide who I'll be in their location but if you're not selected, there's also a chance you can get pulled from your second choice location.
