Hello everyone! I just wanted to create this for all those interested in the Kaiser Nurse Residency for new grads application that has a start date of 8/4/2023 - 8/8/2023 Winter Cohort 7 that will start on 12/4/2023.
Informational webinar for the Winter Cohort 7 will be held on 8/1/2023 at 10 a.m (PST).
Interesting!
I applied to Sac area and solano. I heard Sac is pretty competitive in general.
Work experience and letters of rec were also taken into account. I had two letters of rec, but they weren't from Kaiser employees/leaders. The fact that your letter of rec is from a nurse leader is really good though!

Im a bit nervous on how competitive Sacramento is >.<… I really limited my options hahahaha
Hello everyone!..I am new here, I got lucky to have gotten an interview with Kaiser for this cohort. I applied for SouthBay Group Hospital. I do have all my certifications, letter recommendation from one of my instructors, and my RN license. In addition, I did work as an LVN Flu Clinic at Kaiser for 4 months and I think that is a big part on how I was chosen for an interview.
For those who has an interview coming up, how are you guys doing your powerpoint? Is it OK to have mainly pictures on the slide show? I know they told us not to write our answers on our slides so now I do not know what to write on my slides.

Hi! so far I've been putting mainly pictures and like one or two word titles underneath them
I've been struggling because I know in the rubric they say only pick one and answer it but then if we only pick one then we're not necessarily hitting all the points according to the rubric... Im not sure how to approach it ?

I know it is so confusing. I only have 6 slides and about 6 minutes for my entire presentation. Do you think it is too short?

I think its fine ? Rather be under than over! If youre able to convey everything in a concise way that's perfect!
I think im almost done with my ppt and now its just about practicing how to say it hahaha

I only started mine today and still working on it. Realized I have zero photos to share so I had to get creative. I hope my ppt actually works!

Its so weird! Are certain hospitals/ group hospitals more competitive than others?? Maybe the letter of rec also has to do with it?
I got my letter of rec from a Kaiser Nurse Leader?
