Kaiser jobs and southern california

Any advice on getting hired by Kaiser? Would appreciate any input! Thanks.

Kaiser is very "quirky" when it comes to getting your foot in the door. It helps to know someone who has a good reputation there for a reference. If you are serious about working at this facility ( and PLEASE do a search at allnurses on some of the MANY stories and experiences from Nurses who have worked for this company) then either contact Wendy Sutherland, the nurse recruiter for the next open house or join a registry that provides support, take a few shifts and get your face and name known to the powers that be.

If you can play by the rules while there, it will only be a matter of time before you are sought out by unit managers to sign on with them directly. Ultimately, it will be WHO YOU KNOW rather than what you know. Yes, the money is very good but I would strongly urge you to do your homework and explore this company before you make a commitment.

Thank you Haunted, your advice was helpful. Do you happen to know which local agencies send per diem nurses to Kaiser in the Los Angeles or Woodland, CA area? Or can one get on per diem directly with Kaiser?
