Just waiting for my fail letter

Published

I can't believe my name is not on the BON. I am sure that for sure I failed. By now, my name has not been on the CA BON. Everyone here, I have noticed from CA. have already received their results.

I know I have told everyone to be patient about their results in waiting, and I have told everyone to pick up the pieces if he/she failed, but I am really upset today. The website updated jul 8th, and I am not up there. It shouldn't take this long, although CA. takes up to 10-days 1 month, but realistically!

I read from start to finish on saunders, did 100 questions a day, since may. I even learned how to answer a question by making a guess with the strategies I learned with Kaplan. Once again, I will have to put my life on hold! and re-take this exam....

jazzysmika,

when did you test. Three of my friends tested last week and have no results either. Please be calm.

july 2nd is too long of a wait for pending results. By now Clara I know that the results are in and that is I failed. I am just too convinced at this point!

hey dont give up... many are still waiting too.. and I'm one of them...

Yes, my file is complete. Just waiting for the letter in the mail. I enver hear anyone having the letter officially passing before the name is on the board.:cool:

Hi Jazzysmika, I also took nclex on 7/7 and I haven't found my name on BON web yet til today. I called BON this morning and the gentleman said that not everybody name would be on there. He said everybody has different processing time and we only can wait and stay positive all the time. I know how you feel because I am in the same situation and I will start work this Monday. So, I will wait another week and I will call them again if I don't get anything from them by next week. Try to call BON and if you have intern permit (IP) you can check if your IP still valid. Because once you fail the nclex, your IP will be expired automatically. If your IP still valid, that means you still have hope.

Keep me informed. And I wish you the best.

I read couple of info from this web, stated that there were 3 girls took the test in the same time, same date, and same place. One of them got the result after 9 days. The other two, after thinking that they were failed, actually got the result in 16 days. And others also said that she got the result after 3 weeks and has never seen her name on BON web before she got the official result come in the mail. And she found her name on BON web after that. I keep my fingers cross for you and me.

Don't give up. My mom always says if you fall off the bike just get right up and get back on. I took my boards many years ago and I don't remember getting so stressed out. But I was just 22 and didn't know any better. I'm not saying you shouldn't be stressed out and disappointed. So really hang in there and in the event you DO find out you didn't pass, analyze why you didn't pass and your weaknesses. In 5 or 10 years, this will all be a memory. An don't ever think of yourself as a failure.

Is it really true that if your IP will be expired once you fail? So, does checking the online verification of IPs enough or should I call?

You better call BON because the gentleman who I spoke with said that you are not be able to see it online. They'll not put the actual expiration date up on BON web. Hope it'll help you. I call them everyday just to make sure my IP still valid and I can keep my hope while I'm still waiting for my result. Good luck!

Last week was also a major holiday week and offices were closed on Friday and many did not have complete staff on Thursday. You always have to add in time in this case.

I know that it is not what you want to hear, but please wait until you see something on the BRN site or you receive a letter. Do not be too hasty, the can be any number of reasons that your name has not shown up as of yet.

If you do not hear by the two weeks, then call and check with them to make sure that your file is complete. Could be something just having to do with fingerprints or something similar. And that could be a reason, but just wait and sit tight.

You need time for yourself right now just to relax and let things happen as they may.

Best of luck to you and do keep us posted.

IPs get cancelled actually once you test, they fail to exist then. But they do not automatically get to it, so do not rely on that alone to determine if you have failed or not.

They were designed to be used up until one tests and if they test and pass, then they are an RN; and if they do not, then they are no longer the GN or have the IP. If you find out that you did not pass, then you need to notify your employer as soon as possible.

They are unable to give any results on the phone, so calling is not really something that needs to be done.

But do not do a thing until you have your results, and by the way, did you sit for the RN or the PN exam? If PN, then you will not see your name on the website, you will need to wait for a letter to arrive.

Best of luck to you.

I took the RN exam, just getting very frustrated that most of my classmates who took it on the same day or after me have already found out on the BON. Hard to take in the fact that everyone finds out differently.

There are so many factors into play, and not the least, your last name and therefore which desk that your file went to.

And there is nothing that can be done to make any changes. You are going to have to wait for your results when you see your name on their site or you get a letter in the mail.

Nothing to do to get things done any faster. Best of luck to you.
